Walkers and ramblers can walk to the peaks of Cader Idris, with access to paths to the summit only a short drive away. The Cambrian Way passes within ½ mile of the cottage. There are 2 lakes within 5 miles for those who enjoy fishing.

Stabal is ideally located for exploring Snowdonia, and the rest of north and mid Wales. The Talyllyn Steam Railway and the ancient Welsh castle of Castell y Bere are nearby. You can relax under the stars in this designated Dark Skies region.
